    Saturday Morning Update:

According to the Bartlett Fire District, firefighters continue to battle the fire and face extreme weather challenges. Firefighters began demolition of what remains of the building overnight.

“This will take some time to fully extinguish. We have firefighters working around the clock and heavy machinery on-site to start knocking down the remaining walls and removing debris. The safety of our personnel is our highest priority.”

    Friday morning update:

The fire at a document storage facility in Bartlett continued to burn this morning. Firefighters have been fighting the blaze since 10:00am yesterday morning.

The warehouse is part of Brewster Creek Business Park, located on the 1300 block of Schiferl Road.

Police have closed off Northbound Munger at Brewster Creek Blvd.

Access Corp, the owner of the facility, issued the following statement:

“At this time, we can confirm that we did experience a fire today at our secure record center in Bartlett, IL. All our team members evacuated the building and are safe.

The fire department was immediately notified and we are working with local authorities to determine the cause. Additionally, a recovery team is working onsite to assess the situation, determine any impact, and take necessary actions.

We have no further information to share at this time.”

We will have more as additional information is available.
