Naperville police are investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred Monday morning near 95th Street and Wolf’s Crossing in Elgin.
At approximately 11:13 a.m. Monday morning, the Naperville Police Department and the Naperville Fire Department responded to the area of 95th Street and Wolf’s Crossing Road for a single vehicle crash with injuries. The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2009 black Audi A5 driven by a 60-year-old male out of Aurora was traveling westbound on 95th Street towards Wolf’s Crossing Road. The vehicle continued west of the intersection and struck a traffic signal.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was deceased upon arrival. Crash investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department Traffic Unit responded to the scene to investigate, and 95th Street and Wolf’s Crossing Road remained closed until approximately 7:30 Monday evening.
