A 22 year-old man was killed Thursday as the motorcycle he was riding apparently ran off the road on Naper Boulevard in Naperville.
On Thursday at approximately 5:59 p.m., the Naperville Police Department and the Naperville Fire Department responded to the area of Naper Boulevard south of Stoney Brook Drive for a single motorcycle crash involving injuries. A 2005 red/white/black Honda motorcycle driven by a 22-year-old male out of Lisle ran off the east side of the road on northbound Naper Boulevard as it approached Stoney Brook Drive.
The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased soon after arriving at the hospital.
Crash investigators and reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department Traffic Unit initiated and investigation immediately, and Naper Boulevard was closed from Spindletree Avenue to Stoney Brook Drive and traffic was rerouted until the roadway was reopened at approximately 9:30 p.m.
