Aurora Police have identified the victim and suspect in Friday’s murder-suicide on the west side of the city.
Carolyn Walker, 62, from the 2100 block of Kensington Place, was shot to death inside of her home.
The suspect, Kenneth Milon, 66, from Orland Park, also was found dead inside the house with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Just after 12:30 p.m. on Friday, officers were called to the 2100 block of Kensington Place for reports of suspicious activity. Due the circumstances and the information received by dispatch, officers immediately setup a perimeter around the home and asked neighbors to remain inside their homes. Members of APD’s Special Response Team (SRT) were requested to the scene.
A short time later, SRT entered the home and found Walker and Milon dead inside.
The investigation is ongoing. Preliminary information revealed Walker and Milon had been involved in a domestic relationship, which recently ended.
There are no prior domestic violence reports between the two with the Aurora Police Department, but investigators learned of a recent domestic violence report in another jurisdiction that prompted Walker to obtain an Order of Protection against Milon.
