When the practice opened in 1967, OrthoIllinois’ founder already held a vision of building a bone and joint practice that was different.  His vision of offering multiple providers, each with advanced training in a specific area of orthopedic care, steadily grew to reality.  OrthoIllinois became one of the first practices in the northern Illinois region to offer subspecialized care and evolved further to enhance its roster of fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons with additional specialty physicians to provide a full continuum of bone and joint care from conservative to surgical. 

The foundation of this higher level of care is partnered with a commitment to treating each patient with compassion and respect, and working together to develop a treatment plan that meets the patient’s goals for resuming a more active lifestyle.

Today, OrthoIllinois maintains clinic locations in Algonquin, Elgin, McHenry, and Rockford, Illinois, with an additional 13 rehabilitation locations throughout the region and an out-patient surgery center in Rockford.  The practice has stayed consistently in the forefront of offering the latest in treatment options and utilizing advance surgical technique in the orthopedic specialties of Sports Medicine, Hip and Knee Reconstruction, Hand/Upper Extremity, Spine, Trauma, and Pediatric.  OrthoIllinois offers the additional specialties of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Podiatry, and Neurosurgery with the convenience of a full range of on-site services for X-ray, MRI, Infusion, and walk-in injury service.

OrthoIllinois offers a level of care rivaling that found in any metropolitan medical center and has been the choice to provider fourth and fifth-year rotation training to residents of Rush University Medical Center’s orthopedic residency program since 2007. 

It’s six  sports medicine specialists also serve as proud members of the Chicago Blackhawks’ Medical Network and team orthopedic physicians for the Rockford IceHogs.

The practice continues to grow with the additional of a new 49,000 sq. ft. full service medical clinic and Injury Express location on N. Randall Road opening in May 2022 to expand the services and specialties it currently offers in Elgin for residents of the Fox River Valley.
