According to a press release from the Kane County State’s Attorney Office, a 22 year-old Aurora man has been charged in connection with the deadly shooting early Sunday morning at Trilogy Lounge in St. Charles.
The accused has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of attempted murder and three counts of aggravated battery with a firearm, according to authorities. He is being held at the Kane County jail on $3 million bail.
According to the press release, the deceased victim, Khalief McAllister, also of Aurora, and another person were approached by the accused in the parking lot adjacent to Trilogy at around 2 a.m. Police say that the accused then fired a 9 mm handgun at them, injuring both as well as two bystanders. McAllister and his companion were rushed to Delnor Hospital in Geneva. McAllister was pronounced dead there, while is companion underwent emergency surgery. As of Sunday evening, his condition was listed as critical.
One of the other victims also went to Delnor and was listed in stable condition as of Sunday evening.
No update on either victim’s condition has been provided.
The fourth victim went to Copley Medical Center in Aurora, where he was treated and subsequently released.
