An unidentified man was shot this afternoon in the 2700 block of Sheridan Court in Naperville.
At approximately 1:49 p.m., Naperville Police officers located a male subject with a gunshot wound to the chest who was immediately transported to a local hospital. His condition is unknown at this time. Witnesses on the scene were able to provide the name and vehicle description of the offender who had fled the scene.
A short time later, an officer spotted the suspect vehicle and after additional units arrived to assist, including the Plainfield Police Department, a traffic stop was initiated near the area of 119th Street and Route 59 in Plainfield. After a short pursuit, the suspect stopped his vehicle and was taken into custody near 135th Street and Route 59 in Plainfield.
