    EPD Responds To Shots Fired

    The Elgin Police Department reported that at approximately 12:41am this morning they responded to a report of shots fired.

    Upon arrival at the 1500 block of Meyer Street, evidence of a shooting and property damage were located.

    No injuries have been reported at this time.

    This is the 33rd reported incident of shots fired in Elgin this year, keeping the city on pace to match or break it’s 2016 record of 64 for the full year.
