    Aurora Man Charged With Providing Gun For Woodman’s Shooting

    Yesterday, a Kane County judge issued an arrest warrant for an Aurora man who provided the gun used in the June 1st shooting of a North Aurora man in the parking lot of Woodman’s market in North Aurora.

    The following charges were issued against the 27-year-old Aurora resident:

    • 2 counts of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Class 2 Felony
    • 2 counts of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Class 4 Felony
    • Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon, Class 3 Felony

    The accused’s bail was set at $20,000 / 10% which means that after arrest, he will need to post $2,000 cash to be released pending trial proceedings. all accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

    The condition of the 17-year-old male who was shot in the neck has improved and he has been released from the hospital. The condition of the 19-year-old male who was shot in the leg is unknown.

    This incident remains under investigation by the North Aurora Police Department. Anyone with information should call the Investigations Division at (630) 897-8705, extension 758. Or call Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000 and receive a reward for information leading to a felony arrest.
