Aurora, Illinois – Less than a month after the last citywide pop-up food pantry, the City of Aurora – in collaboration with the Northern Illinois Food Bank and the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry – will provide groceries to 1,000 more families Monday.

The 9th Pop-Up Food Pantry opens at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 19, at Phillips Park, 1000 Ray Moses Drive.

Provided through the federal Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP), the free food distribution will include boxes of fresh and quality meat, dairy, and produce.

No identification is necessary to receive food. Lines form early for the drive-thru, first-come, first-served event.

The City plans to continue communitywide monthly pop-up pantries through the summer.

Youth and adult volunteers can register to assist with food distribution here.
