Daddio’s Diner is a retro neighborhood diner in the heart of Batavia, IL’s community at 134 W. Wilson Street.
Daddio’s Diner began as a lifelong dream for our family. We dreamed of fusing together our collective passions for food and community, for music and retro charm, and for friends and family. When the opportunity came along to open our very own diner in April 2007, we jumped at it. For the past 14 years, Daddio’s Diner has been our life. The concept behind it has been simple; to create a space where everyone in the community feels welcome—serving delicious comfort food that makes people happy. A place for locals to claim their favorite spot at the counter and to chat with their neighbors. A spot with nostalgic music and decor that makes people feel at home and brings back memories and stories for parents to share with their children. A place where our own daughters grew up waiting tables, learning what it means to be strong, hard workers. Sprawled across the main wall is the quote “I Am Everyday People,” (a reference from the famous song by Sly and The Family Stone), but also to the values that we hold dearest. Daddio’s Diner is a place for everyone to feel welcome and enjoy delicious food with the people they love.
Our indoor seating has been closed this last phase during the pandemic to keep our customers, family, and staff safe. We are still open for takeout, Family Meals, and fun weekend specials. We are so grateful for our community and their support and continue to look for ways to give back.This summer, we hosted a donation drive called “Stock & Rock Around Our Block” to join forces with other small businesses to collect items for the Batavia Interfaith Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. This winter, we hosted a “Polar Express Toy Drive” and collected over 350 toys in just two weekends to support Batavia ACCESS toy drive. This January, we kicked off the new year with a “Pay it Forward” program. Those up on their luck can purchase a “cup of kindness” ticket for a future customer which will live on our community board until someone in need redeems it. We care about our community and want nothing more than to remain open for years to come.
