As much as I am excited for summer break to begin for my kids,  a sense of relief sets in for myself. No more packing lunches, making sure they have everything in their  backpacks, getting them on the bus and than rushing to  make it home on-time for the bus drop off. I get a break from the school chaos too! That magical sense of relief lasts about a week.  I begin to lose my sanity with the sibling rivalry or my youngest wanting a popsicle at 8 in the morning and trying to figure out things to entertain the kids all summer.

If this sounds like you, check out The Local Moms Summer Bucket List with ideas of keeping your kids busy with lots of things to do this summer break!

I sit down with each of my kids and we go over a wish list of things they want to do over the summer. I do explain to them that there is no guarantee we will do everything on the list.

Making a list helps me plan ahead.  I check for Groupon deals and I pack lunches if we will be gone all day.

Here is what is on our list for inspiration:
