Strong Women's Voices United in Song

Nothing but Treble, an Elgin-based women’s chorus currently in its third season, will present a holiday concert on December 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church in Elgin. The concert, which will feature harpist Abigail Stoner accompanying the chorus on Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, is supported by a grant from the Elgin Cultural Arts Commission.

In addition to Britten’s work, the women of Nothing but Treble will offer a diverse repertoire of classical and popular holiday music. They will be joined by a special guest women’s choir from Elgin High School. Admission to the concert is by free will offering.

Nothing but Treble, founded in 2016, is directed by Rosalind Zager. Members of the chorus come from Elgin and the surrounding areas. Their ages span five decades, and they represent a variety of musical backgrounds. Interested singers are always welcome.
