The White Sox, after a bit of a stumble out of the gate, seem to be rounding into form after a three-game sweep of the Texas Rangers.
On Saturday, the Sox squeezed out a 2-1 victory over the Rangers on the strength of fantastic pitching by starter Dallas Keuchel, who pitched 6 scoreless innings, and a dramatic ninth inning walk-off double by Nick Madrigal after the Rangers had tied the game in the top of the inning.
On Sunday, the Sox won 8-4 based on a dominant performance by starting pitcher Michael Kopech and a three RBI day, including a home, by designated hitter Jose Abreu.
These followed the Sox’s Friday night 9-7 slugfest win at Guaranteed Rate Field.
The Sox are now 12-9 after an injury-riddled first few weeks of the season, and this team, with such high expectations coming into the season, appears ready to take off.
The Sox next play the Detroit Tigers tomorrow at Guaranteed Rate.
