Naperville Table Tennis Tournament Set for Sat. Jan. 26

The annual Naperville Table Tennis Tournament, co-sponsored by the Naperville Park District and the Naperville Table Tennis Club, will take place Sat., January 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at River Woods School, located at 2607 River Woods Dr. in Naperville.

The tournament is open to all interested players of any age and experience level. Awards are given by co-ed age divisions for children, and for men and women in the “open” (age 18 and up) and “masters” (age 50 and up) divisions.  In addition to involving many players from Naperville, the tournament typically draws players from the entire northern Illinois region.

Players can pre-register for the tournament online at www.napervilleparks.org or register on site beginning at 8:00 a.m. for the adult divisions and at 10:30 a.m. for the youth divisions. Space is limited; any registration after the check-in time will be processed on a space-available basis only. The participant fee is $8 for Naperville Park District residents and $12 for nonresidents.

For those interested in table tennis beyond the tournament, the Naperville Table Tennis Club meets weekly for practices and games.  The Club is open to new players and offers multiple sessions between January and May.  Registration is available online at www.napervilleparks.org. For more information, contact the Naperville Table Tennis Club at www.napervilletabletennisclub.com.
