Grand Geneva Resort & Spa and Timber Ridge Lodge Waterpark Reopening on Monday June 15

The entire resort will reopen incorporating Marcus Hotels & Resorts’ newly established CleanCare Pledge

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, a division of The Marcus Corporation (NYSE: MCS), will reopen the doors of Grand Geneva Resort & Spa and its on-site sister property Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark on Monday, June 15, 2020 with the introduction of the CleanCare Pledge, which ensures enhanced cleanliness and safety measures are in place for its guests and associates.

“Grand Geneva and Timber Ridge are ideal drivable getaways for guests seeking retreat opportunities close to home that give them the space they desire, with fresh air, outdoor activities, and plenty of private spaces,” said Michael R. Evans, President of Marcus Hotels & Resorts. “For the past month, we have been reexamining the guest experience, finding ways to make it safer and to ease any guest concerns so when our guests escape to our resort they can relax and immediately get into vacation-mode.”

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Marcus Hotels & Resorts has established the CleanCare Pledge that incorporates the best industry practices and protocols for operating our hotels, resorts, spas, golf courses, and restaurants with an enhanced focus on cleanliness, sanitization, and safety.

Key elements and examples of the CleanCare Pledge include:

  • Introducing new processes and easy-to-use technology to create a low-to-no contact guest experience
  • Incorporating social distancing into processes and various spaces
  • Outfitting associates with masks and gloves, and making masks available for guests
  • Enhanced cleaning and sanitization protocols that go beyond leading hospitality industry standards and CDC guidelines

Outdoor Experiences in Wide, Open Spaces

Owned and managed by Marcus® Hotels & Resorts, Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is an award-winning AAA Four-Diamond resort. Situated on 1,300 acres in the woodlands of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Grand Geneva has been welcoming guests for more than 25 years, offering some of the finest facilities, accommodations, and dining experiences in the Midwest. The iconic resort has always offered dynamic recreation for our guests looking for an escape, including outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking, horseback riding, and scooter excursions — in addition to the resort’s championship golf courses, tennis courts, and indoor and outdoor pools. All of these activities will be open and available.

Grand Geneva’s championship courses, The Brute and The Highlands are open, and tee times must be booked in advance online or by calling the pro-shop at 262-248-2556.

Food & Beverage

Most of the resort’s acclaimed restaurants and bars will also open and will comply with the State’s operational guidelines and social-distancing measures. Grand Café will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a limited menu, while the popular Geneva ChopHouse will soon open for dinner. The Cool Water Outdoor Pool Bar and Grill will be available during the day and Evolve Nightclub will operate in the evening. Grand Central Cafe, the Lobby Lounge, and The Links Bar and Grill will be open daily with reduced hours. All dining facilities will expand their hours in a phased approach based upon safety guidelines and resort occupancy. Weather permitting, patio dining will be available where possible, and carry-out and in-room dining will be offered.

Spa & Fitness

The resort’s award-winning WELL Spa + Salon will initially offer manicures, pedicures, haircuts, and hair treatments. Additional spa services will be offered in a phased approach. All appointments must be made in advance online or by calling 800-558-3417, ext. 6. Grand Geneva’s expansive fitness center will also open to guests with usage restrictions.

Private Villas

For guests seeking a more private getaway, The Villas at Grand Geneva offer luxury vacation rentals with spacious living areas, separate bedrooms, and kitchens. Guests have access to additional resort amenities, including a pool and an outdoor fire pit area reserved for the exclusive use of Villa guests. Grocery delivery is also available.

Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark

Nestled within the picturesque grounds of Grand Geneva, Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark is an all-suite resort featuring the privacy and necessary amenities for a home-away-from-home family vacation, which includes rooms with kitchens to prepare meals, along with plenty of space and amenities for the entire family.

Named one of the top waterparks in the United States, Timber Ridge Lodge’s waterpark, Moose Mountain Falls, will be open offering families an array of activities including 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor waterpark fun featuring 35-foot high slides, a lazy river, and mini-golf.  Timber Ridge’s restaurants and bars will open in phases following the State’s operational guidelines and social-distancing measures. Guests of Timber Ridge can also dine in any of the restaurants at Grand Geneva.

“While the resort is very close to Lake Geneva and all of the activities available there, Grand Geneva Resort & Spa and Timber Ridge Lodge & Waterpark, are the perfect escape for guests looking for a Lake Geneva experience without the crowds,” Evans said. The entire resort, including all guestrooms, recreational and dining facilities, The WELL Spa + Salon, the fitness center, golf facilities, and waterpark will incorporate the enhanced CleanCare Pledge standards of cleanliness and safety into the guest experience.
