Bring the whole family + friends to Elgin History Museum Family Fun Day at the Fox River Trolley Museum. The fun will start with a ride on a trolley car along the banks of the scenic Fox River ending at John Duerr Forest Preserve. Once there, the Museum will have a picnic with food, drinks and games for everyone! Located at a crook in the Fox River, the Preserve offers a scenic setting, complete with wildlife, trails, picnic shelters, rest rooms, and a little known 8-ft waterfall. It also features the historical burial site of unknown soldiers in General Scott’s Army during the Blackhawk War of 1832. Following the picnic the trolley will take us back to the Fox River Trolley Museum.
Kids are free! Tickets are only $7 for members / $10 for guests and it covers the cost of the trolley ride and lunch.
Help the Trolley Museum thrive beyond the extensive vandalism that occurred last summer, where over $110,000 of damage was suffered. Donations to aid in this effort will gladly be accepted on the day of the event.
EVERYONE IS WELCOME! Please reserve your place by AUGUST 2nd. Click the button below to buy tickets online or call (847) 742-4248 to reserve by phone.
