The Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles is one of 17 locations taking part in this year’s
Fox River Arts Ramble. Fox Valley is rich in art, artists and art locations, making it the perfect
place for a day of art hopping in the area. The day runs from 9am – 5pm and each of the 17
locations will have fantastic art and artists to meet.

The Fine Line campus will be packed with local artisans selling handcrafted items. From one-of-
a-kind mugs to hold the first coffee of the morning to stunning jewelry pieces for an evening out.

There are sixteen artists’ tents on the Fine Line campus, with artists who are looking forward to
meeting the public and showing their work. For many, this will be their first major art event of
the year, so the tents will be overflowing with handcrafted items. While the outdoor artisan
market is one reason to visit the event, it is certainly not the only reason.

There will be art demonstrations from Fine Line faculty members throughout the day, including
Dan Caldwell the Fine Line Blacksmith, Carol Zack who teaches Oil Pastel and Alan Shontz
who teaches Glassblowing. Other crafts being demonstrated include pottery wheel throwing.  If
you have ever thought about taking a class at but were not sure, this is a great chance to come out
and meet some of the artists who teach at Fine Line.

Seven local musicians will provide live music throughout the day commencing in one-hour slots beginning at 10 am. Hot dogs will be available for purchase between 11 am and 2 pm, courtesy of Blue Goose Market in St. Charles.

The Fox River Arts Ramble is a free event and will go ahead, rain or shine. It is an excellent way
to get out and support local artists and art organizations in the Fox Valley area. There are so
many great places taking part in the event this year and the Fine Line Creative Arts Center is a
great place to visit on your day of art hopping in the Fox Valley.
