Yesterday, Kane County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Team Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of Larchwood Ln. in North Aurora after receiving a child pornography cyber-tip from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office Crimes Against Children Division. The second annual Naperville SoulFest will come to Naper Settlement on Friday and Saturday, June 3-4. Former St. Charles East High School student and basketball star Justin Hardy has passed after a grueling 13-month battle with Stage 4 stomach cancer. Hardy, who garnered national attention for his courageous fight against the dreaded disease, was 22 when he passed. His father, Bob Hardy, released a statement announcing his death Sunday morning. Naperville police are investigating a convenience store armed robbery that took place in early morning hours of last Saturday, May 28. At approximately 3:55 a.m. Saturday morning, Naperville Police officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery at a convenience store located in the 1400 block of east Chicago Avenue. Officers learned that an offender entered the business displaying a handgun, taking cash and cigarettes. The clerk was not harmed. The suspect left on foot going south.
