Anderson Smacks Slam, Sox Win 7-3

Sox shortstop Tim Anderson whacked a second-inning grand slam, giving the Sox a 5-0 cushion, and they never looked back in beating the visiting Cleveland Indians 7-3 Saturday afternoon.

Light-hitting second baseman Leury Garcia knocked in 3 runs from the ninth spot for the Sox, who are 7-3 in their last 10 games.

Sox starting pitcher Lance Lynn pitched 5 innings, giving up 3 runs, while reliever Michael Kopech pitched a solid 3 innings of 1-hit ball for the Sox. Aaron Bummer came in and pitched a scoreless ninth.

The Sox complete their 3-game series with the Indians this afternoon at Guaranteed Rate field.
