A 22 year-old Bartlett man was shot Saturday evening and taken to a local hospital. No information about his condition is available at this time.
At approximately 11:00 p.m. Saturday evening, Bartlett police responded to the area of Harbor Terrace and Island Court to investigate a shooting incident, where they discovered a 22-year-old male victim who had suffered a non-life-threatening single gunshot wound.
Preliminary information indicates that a white Dodge Durango pulled up behind the victim, who was standing near a parked vehicle on Harbor Terrace at the time, after which three men exited the vehicle with at least one of them firing multiple rounds towards the victim.
One was described as a Hispanic or white male wearing all black clothing; the second was described as a Hispanic or white male wearing a white shirt and blue jeans; and the third was described as a male of unknown race with an unknown clothing description. The vehicle was last seen southbound on Harbor Terrace towards Newport Boulevard.
Bartlett police recovered numerous handgun shell casings at the incident scene. A parked vehicle, fence, and the exterior of a nearby townhome were struck by bullets from the shooting incident.
The incident is still under investigation. Bartlett police believe the shooting victim was the intended target, and at this time he is unwilling to cooperate with the police or provide them with any information regarding the incident.
