A 40-year-old Aurora man has been charged with multiple counts of child pornography after police raided his home Thursday morning and found multiple electronic devices containing suspected elicit material.
On Thursday, February 23, 2023, at approximately 6:15 a.m., the Aurora Police Department executed a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of Valayna Drive in Aurora.
During the search, investigators seized multiple electronic devices that contained suspected child pornography. Officers arrested the resident on the scene.
The accused has been charged with the following felonies:
• Child pornography-reproduce or distribute-video, 7 counts, Class X felony.
• Child pornography-possess visual reproduction on computer-video, 11 counts, Class 2 felony.
The accused is being held at the DuPage County Jail, with his bail set at $250,000, with 10% ($25,000) to apply for bond. If he posts bond, he is to have no unsupervised contact with anyone under 18. He shall also surrender all firearms, ammunition, and his Firearm Owners Identification Card.
