The North Aurora police department has announced that Illinois Route 31 and I-88, including the entrance and exit ramps, will be closed completely or partially due to a serious accident.
Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes while emergency crews continue their investigation.
Alternate routes to Illinois Route 31 include Illinois Route 25 and Randall Road. Alternate exits/entrance to I-88 are Orchard Road and Farnsworth Road.
