    Aurora Police Suspect Murder After Man Found Dead In His Home

    The Aurora Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation after a man was found suffering from fatal injuries in his residence on the city’s east side Friday night.

    On riday at approximately 8:40 p.m., APD received a report of a man found inside his residence in the 700 block of Grove Street. Officers found the man suffering from fatal injuries.

    Aurora Fire Department paramedics arrived on the scene and the victim, identified as 68-year-old Isidro Nevarez, was pronounced deceased.

    Detectives from the Aurora Police Department’s Bureau of Investigations and Evidence Technicians responded to the scene and began investigating and collecting forensic evidence. Officers and detectives conducted a canvass of the neighborhood to collect potential information from neighbors to assist with the investigation.

    Currently, no suspects are in custody, but detectives believe this is an isolated incident.
