Naperville Park District invites golfers to help celebrate the reopening of the Glen Ekey Driving Range and the practice facility at Naperbrook Golf Course on Friday, May 27.

Renovations to the range and practice green took place in the fall of 2021, allowing the range to operate after construction using all-weather mats. Now that the new turf is established, Naperbrook Golf Course is pleased to celebrate the reopening of the entire facility, including the new turf range tee and practice green.

Friday’s celebration will include a competition and all-day specials. Golf professionals at Naperbrook will be out on the practice green and range tee to host a drive/chip/putt competition on Friday, May 27 from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The male and female participants with the highest cumulative scores for all three events will receive a gift card for complementary golf. Golfers can explore the improved driving range with discounts on range balls and also enjoy food and drink specials all day at Naperbrook.

“We are pleased with the improvements in Naperbrook’s driving range and practice facility and are excited to give golfers an opportunity to explore the new turf range and practice green to see for themselves,” said Director of Golf Kevin Carlson.

The improvements include a new, 27,000 square foot range tee with better sightlines and an excellent hitting surface and wear tolerance. The new 12,000 square foot practice green adds needed space for putting and chipping and the new practice bunker provides short game and full swing options for practicing from the sand. Additionally, a new shed for the range ball dispenser was added behind the clubhouse.
