Two men suffered gunshot wounds this morning on Columbia Avenue just west of Rt 25.
At approximately 5:45 a.m. this morning, officers responded to the 500 block of Columbia Avenue for a reported shooting.
While en route to the location, it was determined that two adult male victims with apparent gunshot wounds had arrived at an area hospital for treatment of what appears to be non-life threating injuries.
Officers on scene located evidence of gunfire and property damage.

This is the second gunfire incident in two days, and the 57th of 2021. The record for gunshot incidents in Elgin is 64, set in 2016.
