Josef Drathen Riesling Blue Bottle Auslese
Prost to October! While Oktoberfest may be known for beer, Germany makes some pretty fabulous wine, too.
Our October Wine of the Month is Josef Drathen Riesling Blue Bottle Auslese, a beautifully fruity German Riesling with luscious notes of ripe peach and apricot balanced by refreshing acidity. It’s smooth, aromatic and just sweet enough to make it incredibly easy to sip.
Riesling is also a fantastic food wine. Pair it with German favorites like bratwurst and mustard, soft cheeses, salty snacks, or spicy dishes—the touch of sweetness is a perfect match.
Throughout October, take home a bottle for just $15 at Eastside Café.
A little Oktoberfest spirit, no stein required. Prost!

Indigenous Nebbiolo d’Alba
As a family-owned wine shop, we love featuring wines with a story, especially those connected to small, family-owned producers who put care into every bottle. We also have a personal appreciation for organically farmed wines, which makes Indigenous Nebbiolo d’Alba especially meaningful to us.
This has become a true family favorite and a staple at Geneva Wine Cellars. We love it so much that we keep it on tap in our wine machine year-round! Come try a 10z, 3oz, or 5oz pour.
Produced in Piedmont, Italy, this 100% Nebbiolo comes from organically farmed vineyards and is hand-harvested before being fermented with native yeasts. It’s elegant yet approachable, with notes of ripe cherry, dried rose petals, subtle mint and spice, finished with the refined tannins that make Nebbiolo so distinctive.
For us, this wine represents so much of what we look for when choosing wines for the shop: family, thoughtful farming, quality, and a wine we genuinely love drinking ourselves.

2022 Blaufränkisch from Aurora Cellars
Rich blueberry and black raspberry melds with spicy pepper in this crowd favorite. A strong amount of acidity means this wine pairs perfectly with a wide range of food but is especially delicious with smoked sausage, venison or a black pepper crusted steak.
