Aurora police are seeking the public's assistance in its investigation of a robbery at a construction site last week.

Last Friday, APD received several reports totaling more than $10,000 worth of tools and equipment stolen overnight from a subdivision construction site in the 3200 block of Del Webb Boulevard. A lock had been removed from a storage container, and workers discovered missing property that included power tools, lighting, a canopy tent, and other construction equipment.

Surveillance footage showed a white pickup truck entering the property and leaving approximately 45 minutes later, around 12:06am, with equipment in its bed.

“These tools and equipment are how people earn a living, and having them stolen can put an entire crew’s work on hold,” said Aurora Police Chief Matt Thomas. “While these images may only offer limited detail, we continue to pursue every available lead. Someone may recognize this truck or know something that helps us take the next step. We’re asking for your help to identify those responsible and recover what was stolen.”

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact APD’s Investigations Division at 630-256-5500 or tips@aurora.il.us and reference case AUPR26013547.
