A chiropractor practicing in Aurora and Campton Hills who was charged last month in Kane County with allegedly sexually assaulting two his of patients has now been indicted on 13 new charges of abuse in DuPage County.
DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin and Aurora Police Chief Matt Thomas announced yesterday that the 46-year-old Naperville man is now facing additional charges concerning the sexual abuse and assault of three additional alleged victims. He appeared at his arraignment this morning on one count of Criminal Sexual Assault (a Class 1 Felony), three counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (a Class 1 Felony), eight counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse (a Class 2 Felony), one count of Attempt Criminal Sexual Assault (a Class 2 Felony) and six counts of Misdemeanor Battery.
According to prosecutors, in January the DuPage County Children’s Center received information from the Aurora Police Department regarding an alleged sexual assault of a minor that occurred at a chiropractic office in Aurora. Following an investigation into the matter, it is alleged that on January 11, 2025, the victim, a seventeen-year-old boy, was receiving treatment from the suspect at his office located in the 3800 block of McCoy Drive, when the suspect sexually abused him. Through the course of their investigation, authorities also learned that a similar incident had allegedly occurred in 2016 involving a sixteen-year-old boy.
Following the suspect’s arrest, three more victims have come forward alleging Hameed inappropriately touched them. It is alleged that the incidents occurred between July 2016 through January 2025 and that the age of the victims spans an age range from pre-adolescent to adult males.
“The courage displayed by the victims in this case to come forward is inspiring,” Berlin said. “I commend all the victims in this very upsetting case for their strength and conviction to come forward and stand for what is right. I know this is a very difficult subject to talk about, but I strongly encourage anyone who may have had a similar experience themselves with [the suspect], or knows someone who may have, to contact either my office or the Aurora Police Department. Our investigators are expertly trained to help you through this very difficult time.”
Although the suspect has been in custody since his first indictment, yesterday Judge Telander granted the defense’s petition for pre-trail release over the State’s objection. Hameed was released on electronic monitoring with home confinement and the condition that he not have any contact with any minors other than his children.
