Three suspects are in custody after being observed by Naperville police officers behaving suspiciously and subsequently stealing clothes from a downtown Naperville clothing stores.

Early last week, the attention of officers patrolling the downtown area was drawn to a rental vehicle with multiple occupants not wearing seatbelts. The officers saw two females exit the vehicle, put on an extra layer of clothing, and enter Lululemon on Main Street while the third subject stayed in the vehicle.

As the females exited the store a short time later, the officers had reason to suspect a retail theft had just occurred.

The officers conducted a traffic stop when the vehicle left the area and conducted a probable cause search that yielded clothing from multiple stores with security sensors still attached and drugs.

All three suspects were arrested, two of them on felony charges related to the incident that had just occurred.
