According to multiple press reports, 14-year-old St. Charles resident Jordan Laskowski was killed in a car crash last weekend in central Indiana while returning from spring break.
According to the reports, Laskowski, along with his two sisters, his mother and grandmother, was in a vehicle heading northbound on I-65 when the crash occurred. Laskowski and his sister were both ejected from the vehicle.
Laskowski was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His 12-year-old sister Riley was listed in critical condition, according to police.

His obituary painted the picture of a remarkable young man.
“His competitive spirit and hard work won him respect in several sports, but his easy smile and goofy sense of humor set him apart in the halls at Lincoln Elementary, Thompson Middle School, and most recently, Wredling Middle School, all of St. Charles.
“Some people are born with a disposition that is just pure sunshine along with a soul that understands life more than it should. Jordan was one of those people you could describe as having an ‘old soul’ with the ability to speak to his generation, as well as converse freely with adults in easy and comfortable way that belied his tender years. He was a ‘family man’ in the sense that he loved nothing more than to be around his family, whether it was around the dinner table, watching sports or making everyone laugh with antics, funny faces, dances, voices and more, giving each memory his own indelible spark.”
A memorial visitation will be held at Lord of Life Church, 40W605 IL-38, Elburn, IL 60119, from 1-6pm, Sunday, April 13. 2025. A memorial service to celebrate his life and spirit will begin at 6pm. Pastor Matthew Blackford, will officiate. Private family burial will follow cremation at a later date.
A GoFundMe page has been created to receive donations to support the family. It can be found here.
