An unidentified woman was shot and hospitalized last night in what is believed to be an isolated incident.
On Friday evening at 7:59 p.m., Elgin police officers responded to the 1000 block of Sebring Dr. for a reported shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult female subject with injuries who was subsequently transported to an area hospital. At this time it is believed the incident is isolated with no threat to the community.
Detectives from the Major Investigations Division are actively investigating and updates will be provided as they become available.
This is the 10th incident of gunfire in the city this year, and the 2nd involving injuries.
