9-year-old Aria Lamen from Aurora could be excused for letting it go to her head, but it appears that she is “taking it all in stride and is simply happy that her mom, Caron, is still alive,” according to a press release from the City of Aurora.
“Within the last week, she’s been honored by the City of Aurora, published on the front page of newspapers, featured on more than a dozen television news reports and spotlighted on the national news websites & blogs.”
To top it all off, Aria was featured on ABC’s World News Tonight Monday evening.
Aria has chosen to use her time in the spotlight to raise awareness to other children about knowing what to do in an emergency in order to keep their loved ones, and others, safe.
