This year’s East Dundee’s Thom McNamee Memorial Saint Patrick’s parade will be held on Saturday March 11th.
The day will start off with the most colorful and exciting 5K Irish themed race in Illinois! The DUbliNDEE Kilted 5k is sponsored by Lifetime plumbing and heating and runs along the Fox River on Duncan/Elgin Avenue.
At 9:30 by the depot in downtown East Dundee, catch the Pet Parade with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prize winners receiving their award. You’ll hear the winner of the Dundee area’s Best Corned Beef competition and the crowning of 2023 King and Queen.
The parade stops off at 11:00 am at Rosie O’hare’s Public House in East Dundee and travels down Barrington Rd. to River Street, and ends at Bandito Barneys Beach Club.
There will be entertainment by the grandstand and room along the Parade route for children of all ages. This parade is a big event hosted in a small town full of exciting places to enjoy more St. Patrick’s activities like bag pipers, dancers and much more.
Return to Dundee the following weekend and enjoy the James McCulla JR. Memorial Fireworks. This spectacular fireworks display will start at dusk on the footbridge over the Fox River. Many say this St. Patrick’s Day themed firework display is the best in Illinois as the explosive displays reflection on the Fox River is magnificent.
