The city of St. Charles continues its venerable St. Patrick’s Day Parade this Saturday, March 11, beginning at 11am at the First Street Plaza.

This year’s Opening Ceremony will include an Irish Dance Performance and other entertainment. After the Ceremony, check out the specials around town before finding your place along Main Street for the parade.

The parade itself begins at 2pm as thousands of people will line Main Street to listen to award winning local marching bands, watch the elaborate and colorful floats, and experience everything St. Charles has to offer. The parade steps off at 6th Street and continues down Main Street to conclude at 4th Avenue.

While you’re there, take a festive photo at the McNally’s Heating and Cooling Lucky Photo Station located across from Pollyanna Brewing Company at Riverside Avenue and Illinois Street. The Lucky Photo Station will stay up through March 17th.

Guided by the Travel St. Charles App, individuals can explore downtown St. Charles and “Check-In” to local businesses that have a shamrock hidden inside their establishment. Individuals who “Check-In” to at least 7 locations with shamrocks will be entered to win a “Pot of Gold”.  While there, remember to take advantage of their St. Patrick’s themed promotion!
