Sun Goddess by Mary J Blige, Pinot Grigio Ramato, 2021
(10% off for Fox Valley Magazine Wine of the Month!) Iconic Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter, actress, producer and philanthropist, Mary J. Blige is a figure of inspiration, transformation and empowerment making her one of the defining voices of the contemporary music era.
Bouquet is intense and complex, with hints of fruits (peach, melon and blackberries). On the palate it is full-bodied and velvety, with a pleasant acidity, soft tannins and a finish rich in mineral sensations. With origins in Italy’s northeastern province of Friuli Venezia Giulia, Ramato (Italian for “auburn” or “copper”) wines are produced by macerating Pinot Grigio grape must with its skins. The skins’ pink hue gives the wines color from a semi- pale pink to dark orange, depending on maceration time. $19.99

2020 Tempranillo
Our 2020 Tempranillo is a shining example of Spain’s main grape varietal. Not usually known for its aroma, ours bucks the trend with juicy plum on the nose with the oak barrel it was aged in making its presence known! Notes of tobacco and vanilla are in perfect balance with the nose and the cherry and cedar finish. Pair with your favorite basked pasta or tomato based dish!

Tarot – Le Pape 2018
The 2018 Secret Indulgence Tarot Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley will appease your desire for a rich velvety cabernet, while telling a story to match your secret indulgence. Primarily Cabernet Sauvignon with a hint of Petite Verdot, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, is ready to drink now or cellar this for up to 10 years.
Tarot cards date prior to 15th century Europe where occultists divine your future based on the card and order you draw. Buy a case to read your future by randomly choosing your bottle; since each bottle garners a different label; or grab your favorite label from Le Pape (The Pope) to Le Diable (The Devil) to ascertain your immediate future. This wine isn’t just a story, on the pallet it starts with powerful black cherry flavor and fades into a velvety boysenberry that pairs extremely well with most main courses, but our preference is rare elk, duck confit with port wine reduction or even a charred cheeseburger, but you let us know what you think it pairs best.
