A man suspected in the Valentine’s Day stabbing of an Aurora woman while in her vehicle has been arrested.
According to police, on Tuesday at approximately 5 p.m., the Aurora Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing victim located at the 300 block of Claim Street.
As officers arrived on scene, they learned that a female was sitting in her vehicle when a male suspect approached her vehicle, opened the vehicle’s door, and stabbed the female in her leg and hand.
The 24-year-old suspect subsequently fled to a nearby residence. He exited the residence on his own and was taken into police custody without further incident.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect has been charged with the following offenses:
- Aggravated battery (Two counts, Class 3 felonies)
- Vehicular Invasion (Class 1 felony)
