A Naperville personal trainer has been charged with predatory criminal sexual assault involving a child.
On Wednesday, police were contacted about an alleged sexual assault involving a child that occurred at LifeStart fitness center located at 4225 Naperville Road in Lisle.
According to Lie Lisle Police Department, the suspect, who is not directly affiliated with the fitness center, used the fitness center to conduct personal training sessions for youth involved in sports, such as football and basketball. The victim reported the assault after returning home from one such training session.
Lisle Detectives contacted Investigators from the DuPage County Children’s Center to assist with interviewing the victim, while Lisle Detectives obtained a search warrant and discovered evidence of the alleged crime.
The accused, 32, was subsequently charged with one count of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault, a Class X felony. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail to await a bond hearing.
“I would like to thank Investigators from the DuPage County Children’s Center and the Lisle Detectives for acting quickly to take this alleged predator off the street,” Chief of Police Kevin Licko said.
