A Waterman man is in hospital after being critically injured in a farming accident yesterday afternoon in unincorporated Big Rock Township.
According to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 4:50 p.m. Friday afternoon, Kane County Deputies responded to the 45W600 block of Wheeler Road in Big Rock, IL (unincorporated Big Rock Township) for a report of a serious injury accident involving a male subject pinned in farming equipment.
Kane County Deputies along with medical personnel located the male subject, 40-year-old Benton A. Coulter, who lives in the 200 block of N. Maple Street in Waterman, IL., on the premise and rendered first aid immediately.
During the course of life saving measures, Deputies and medics determined that the male’s arm became stuck in the farming equipment, resulting in the serious injury. The male was then transported by local ambulance to Mercy Hospital where he is expected to survive with the critical injury sustained.
