The Second City returns to stir up a little “Jingle Bell Ruckus” at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) at 5pm and 8pm Saturday, Dec. 10. Please note: this show may contain adult languages and themes.
The Second City’s “Jingle Bell Ruckus” delivers a heaping serving of seasonal satire that is the perfect alternative to those nostalgic old holiday shows. Nothing is off-limits. Holiday film classics, family gatherings, beloved Christmas carols, and winter get a seasonal skewering in this fast-paced, interactive, original comedy revue filled with style, wit, and plenty of that famous (and festive) Second City improv.
The cast will feature Rich Alfonso, Jillian Ebanks, Leila Gorstein, Dylan Hackworth, Hannah Ingle, Jordan Stafford. Stage Manager is Kat Sparger. Director is Jeff Griggs. Music Director is John Love.
The Second City has produced some of the most unforgettable satire and influential comedians of the last 60 years. The company continues to launch the careers of comedy superstars including Bill Murray, John and Jim Belushi, Mike Myers, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ryan Stiles, Horatio Sanz, Tim Meadows, Joan Rivers, John Candy, Chris Farley, and many more. The McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage, presents “The Second City: Jingle Bell Ruckus” at 5 & 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 10. Tickets are $30-$48. The Box Office is open Tuesday – Saturday noon – 6 p.m. and three hours prior to performance.
