A physical altercation led to gunfire outside of an East Dundee restaurant early Saturday morning.
According to police, at around 2:00am Saturday morning officers arrived at the restaurant in the 300 block of Barrington Avenue and determined that an altercation had developed between two men outside the restaurant, leading one man to punch the second, who was armed.
The force of the punch caused the armed man to drop his gun, after which the first man grabbed it and fled.
Meanwhile, a woman with the first man ran to a car in the parking lot and pulled out another gun, firing four warning shots into the air to deter retaliation by the second man’s companions, then subsequently fled.
No injuries were reported by police.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident, and have surveillance video from surrounding businesses in their possession.
No charges have yet been filed.
