A 19-year-old male was killed early Thursday morning when the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree in Naperville. A passenger in the car, a 25-year-old male, was critically injured in the crash.
On Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 at approximately 4:19 a.m., the Naperville Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of Commons and Conestoga roads for a single-vehicle crash involving a 2016 Black Audi A6. The initial investigation determined the Audi was traveling eastbound on Commons Road approaching Conestoga Road at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
The driver, a 19-year-old male, was deceased on scene. The Naperville Fire Department transported the passenger, a 25-year-old male from Naperville, to a local hospital with critical injuries.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Due to the nature of the incident, crash investigators and traffic crash reconstruction specialists from the Naperville Police Department’s Traffic Unit responded to the scene.
