Two people are dead and two hospitalized in serious and critical condition after a violent single-vehicle car crash in East Dundee Saturday.
The identities of the victims are not being released at this time.
According to a press release from authorities, on Saturday morning at approximately 1:30 AM, an East Dundee Police Officer discovered a single-vehicle crash with multiple injuries in the area of E. Main Street and Van Buren Street.
Three out of the four occupants of the vehicle had been ejected. The single occupant still inside of the vehicle had to be extracted.
All four occupants were transported to local hospitals, where two were pronounced deceased and two reported as being in serious and critical condition, respectively.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by the East Dundee Police Department with assistance from the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team (KCART).
