Last June, a food delivery driver made his way to the 700 block of Royal St. George Drive to make what he thought was a typical delivery, albeit an early morning one (12:30am).
Upon arriving, the driver was accosted by two male Black subjects and robbed of his wallet and car keys. The suspects subsequently stole the victim’s vehicle, which was later recovered in another local jurisdiction after the occupants fled during an attempted traffic stop.
The victim was not physically harmed during the crime.
Over the course of the last two months, Naperville detectives assembled the case and developed information leading to the arrest of a juvenile suspect from Naperville on Sept. 1, 2022, on felony robbery and possession of stolen motor vehicle charges. Juvenile law prohibits the release of the suspect’s name. The investigation is on-going regarding the second suspect.
