    Aurora Man Arrested After Mother Found Dead In Apartment

    Aurora Police arrested and charged a 20-year-old man with first-degree murder after his mother was found dead in an apartment on Friday morning.

    At approximately 8:30 a.m., Aurora Police’s 911 Telecommunications Center received a call from a man who reported that his brother ha arrived at his home and told him that he had done something bad to their mother.

    Aurora Police officers were dispatched to the woman’s apartment in the 0-99 block of Jackson Place and found blood on the floor outside the apartment. They entered the apartment and found a woman dead inside.

    Officers immediately requested APD Dispatch to contact the local police department in West Allis, Wisconsin to have them to respond to the reported location of the 20-year-old male and detain him. The West Allis Police Department took the man into custody without incident.

    The victim was identified as Edith Gonzalez-Alarcon, 55, of the 0-99 block of Jackson Place. During the course of the investigation, the Kane County Coroner’s Office was requested to the scene to take possession of the body. The coroner’s office will schedule an autopsy in the coming days to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

    The suspect is facing two counts of First Degree Murder – Class X Felony. A nationwide extraditable arrest warrant has been issued for the suspect, who is currently in custody at the Milwaukee County Wisconsin Jail. He will be extradited to Kane County at a later date
