As the saying goes, nothing good happens after midnight.
This past Sunday at 3:00 AM, the West Dundee Police Department was dispatched to the Speedway Gas Station at 115 N. 8th Street in West Dundee for a vehicle that struck the building.
Officers discovered a red 2008, Chevrolet HHR on its side up against the north exterior wall of the Speedway Convenience Store.
The driver, 23-year-old Victor Jimenez-Moreno of Schaumburg, showed signs of intoxication and was arrested. He was issued four traffic citations, including DUI, and released on bond.
Somehow, Jimenz-Moreno was not injured in the incident.
Speedway will remain closed until repairs are made to correct the structural damage sustained to the building.
