    Naperville Cops Investigating Armed Carjacking In Shopping Center Parking Lot

    On Tuesday evening at around 9:00pm, three men walked up to a man parking his car in a Naperville shopping center parking lot and forced him to surrender his car at gunpoint.

    At approximately 9:02 p.m., Naperville Police Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of South Naper Boulevard for the report of a vehicular hijacking. The preliminary investigation indicated that soon after parking his vehicle, the victim was approached by three subjects, all of them armed with handguns. The victim was forced to surrender his car keys.

    Two offenders entered the victim’s Audi sedan while another offender entered an awaiting light-colored SUV driven by a fourth offender. Both vehicles then fled the area prior to the police arriving.

    The victim was not injured in this incident. The victim’s Audi was allegedly involved in another vehicular hijacking in Will County and has not been recovered.

    The initial three offenders in this case are described as black males, average builds, wearing dark clothing and dark masks. All of them were reportedly armed with handguns. The fourth subject who was driving the SUV was only identified as being a male.
