Batavia offers what it describes as “one of the most celebrated 4th of July fireworks productions in the western suburbs of Chicago, which we proudly call the “Sky Concert.”’
The program begins at 5pm at Engstrom Park with Savor-The-Flavor food and drink vendors, which remain open until 9:30pm. From 8:30pm – 9:15pm, the Batavia Community Band will play patriotic songs leading up to the fireworks.
After announcements, the fireworks begin, accompanied by a variety of music ranging from John Williams to Kool and the Gang to Leonard Bernstein to Lee Greenwood.
Viewing is available at Engstrom Park or Batavia High School.
