Barbeque and blues junkies alike should be in seventh heaven this weekend as Duke’s Blues & BBQ presents the 2022 Duke’s Blues & BBQ Blues Festival in East Dundee.
Presented by non-profit Taste The Love NFP, the festival includes two days of great barbeque and an impressive lineup of blues performers, including Grammy nominated and Chicago Blues Hall of Fame artist Michael Charles.
“The concert by Grammy elected Chicago Blues Hall of Fame artist Michael Charles and His Band will take you on a guitar driven journey through thirty nine years and thirty eight releases of original music. The precision and level of energy is just spectacular and will leave you astounded by the driving force, the contemporary blues, and the soulful ballads of Michael Charles.”
On Friday, the lineup includes:
5:00 – Opening with Dundee-Crown HS Marching Band
5:15 – Mark Bettcher and Friends
8:00 – Michael Charles
Saturday’s festivities include:
12:00 – Opening Ceremonies, Gospel Singers
12:30 – Cesare Salad and the Spicy Croutons
3:00 – Jimmy Nick
5:30 – Blues Heart Mama Bear and Madison Ward, Mama Bear, Nu Blu
8:00 – Chicago Blues – Sharay Reed and Friends
Food and drinks will be available from Duke’s Blues & BBQ and a variety of other vendors.
