A signature sign of summer in Aurora is here.
The Aurora Farmers Market opens today – Saturday, June 4 – in downtown Aurora for its 110th season.
Every Saturday morning from June 4 through October 8, patrons can visit the state’s oldest farmers market from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Water Street Square, 65 S. Water St., across from Aurora City Hall.
Dozens of familiar farmers and fan favorites will be joined by new vendors to offer something for everyone in the family. Visitors can enjoy a Saturday morning shopping at the marketing, eating, listening to live music, and visiting downtown businesses.
“We are so excited to return for our 110th season of the Aurora Farmers Market,” said Market Manager Karla Thomas. “In recognition of this milestone season, we are thrilled to announce we are also offering two additional markets during the week.”
After a multi-year hiatus, weekday markets are returning this summer.
Every Wednesday from June 15 through August 17, the Aurora Farmers Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of Luigi’s Pizza, 732 Prairie St.
Every Thursday from June 16 through August 18, the Aurora Farmer Market will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot of the former Toys-R-Us, 4070 Fox Valley Center Drive, right off New York Street.
“As families seek healthier, accessible food options and outside activities, we look forward to offering additional opportunities through our weekday markets,” said Thomas. All locations will accept the Illinois Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) LINK card.
